Can there be photography without using a camera? Sure; why not. Below are samples of some fun activities in camera-less photography. Can you guess the methods and processes I used?
What they all share in common is the use of a traditional light-sensitive material, think film or photographic paper. Additional fun can be had by digitizing the imagine and then manipulating it in an application like Photoshop or Pixelmator Pro.

Ferrofluids are composed of very small nanoscale particles (diameter usually 10 nanometers or less) of magnetite, hematite or some other compound containing iron, and a liquid (usually oil).

In the darkroom, and using a flash, photographic materials are exposed while submerged in water or other liquids.

Light sensitive material, usually photographic paper, is manipulated with light, light-blocking resists, and photographic and other chemicals. My favourite process.
